Skills & foundations

The tools I use, the subjects I studied, and the habits I rely on when a system gets complicated.

Technical focus

Languages

Languages used across backend services, web applications, Android development, database queries, automation scripts, and embedded or plugin projects.

Rust, Go, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, C++, PHP, Kotlin, SQL, Bash, QML

Backend

Designing and implementing HTTP APIs and web services across TypeScript/JavaScript, Rust, and Go stacks. The work covers authentication, validation, persistence, asynchronous workflows, service integration, and production observability. Portfolio examples include Express in Parentify and Rust services in independently documented projects. Production NestJS work uses class-based modules, controllers, and services with dependency injection to separate application responsibilities. I treat that as practical object-oriented application design. The Rust services use composition and domain boundaries that fit that ecosystem instead of copying the same structure across every stack.

NestJS, Express, Hapi, Axum, Actix, Gin, Object-Oriented Design

Frontend & Web

Building responsive web interfaces from semantic HTML and CSS/SCSS through JavaScript and TypeScript applications across Svelte, React, Vue, and meta-framework stacks. The work includes client-side navigation and state, API-backed interfaces, server-rendered and build-time-rendered pages, responsive layouts, mobile behavior, and progressive enhancement.

Svelte, React, Vue, Next.js, Nuxt, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SCSS

Database & Storage

Designing optimized database schemas for complex data relationships and implementing high-speed caching strategies for real-time access.

PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, RocksDB, SQLite

DevOps & Infrastructure

Automating deployment workflows with CI/CD pipelines, managing containerized Linux infrastructure, tracking agile delivery via Jira, and instrumenting production observability with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Docker, Linux, GitHub Actions, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Jira, AWS, GCP

IoT & Embedded

Engineering secure, real-time communication between hardware and cloud systems, including firmware development and Over-The-Air (OTA) updates.

Arduino, ESP32, EMQX, Grafana, Node-RED

Engineering principles

Build systems that remain understandable.

Clarity compounds. I favor simple, well-structured systems that are easy to reason about, maintain, and evolve.

Prefer explicit architecture over accidental complexity.

Intentional design leads to more reliable, scalable, and collaborative systems.

Measure before optimizing.

I rely on data and real-world usage to identify what actually matters before investing in optimization.

Reliability is part of the product.

Systems should be resilient, observable, and fail gracefully because real users depend on them.

AI outputs should remain grounded in evidence.

I value factual, traceable, and transparent AI systems that augment human judgment.

Design around real-world constraints.

Cost, performance, security, and operational complexity all matter in practical systems.
